Stars!

Last week I got new goodies from Stampin Up! I thought I would have plenty of time this week to play with it. However, my week was a bit different than expected. I only produced one card... And here it is.

I used the new stars template for the background. Marit put a present in my order and I used these papers for some small strips. Washi tape, stitching, strass stars and a sentiment  (also from a SU set) were added. I didn't have time to take a proper picture as I was busy with finishing the schoolyear and preparing for our holiday. The camera has already been packed. After our holiday I will take a better one.

For now I say goodbye as I take my summer break! Looking forward to playing with all the goodies after coming home! Enjoy the summer and see you later!

Watercolour circles and a winner

I stepped out of my comfort zone with today's card. I heat embossed some golden circles onto watercolour paper  as well as a sentiment (stamps from Papertrey Ink). I filled the circles with blues and greens, using distress ink and sprayed it with some water. It looks like modern art, don't you think?

Taking pictures was a hard job, the gold shone too much...

Last week I promised you I would draw a winner for the give-away tonight. So, I put all names in a box and picked one. The winner of the give away is:

Willy

Willy, could you send me your address and I'll send the parcel as soon as possible.

Thanks for visiting me!

Storybook and a give-away

Last Saturday I told you that I own only one butterfly stamp. That afternoon I could add two more to my collection, when I got new goodies! I fell in love with Avery Elle's Storybook the very first time I saw this stamp set. Last week I found it in the Netherlands and I ordered it immediately. So cute! There are two tiny butterflies in the set and many more adorble images. I made some cards with the set. The last card was an experiment with masking the borders and inking with distress inks to create a landscape. It worked out so well, that I decided to use it for a card.

This weekend I finished a project I had been working on for a couple of weeks. My brother in law is getting married next Thursday. I made two blouses for two of our nephews, size 92 (that's the one on the photo) and 128. What a project, but they fit both perfectly and the boys are proud of them. Me too!

Yep, the label isn't quite up-to-date, but they know it is made by their aunt, accompanied by Saar and Pien somewhere in studio Saar and Pien.

In this post I promised you I would celebrate my gradution with you. So, I made a small give-away with some papers and pocket cards of Pebbles 'Garden Party, a mini stamp set from Heidi Swapp and some stamped images of Avery Elle's Storybook. I promise that I will die-cut the images before sending it to the winner.

If you like to win this give-away, leave me a comment until Monday, 14 July. I will draw a winner that night.

Thanks for stopping by!

CFC #48 Butterflies

I didn't have much choice for the new challenge at the CFC blog. This week's theme is all about butterflies. It really is a theme which will give us summer feelings. The problem is that I own only one very small butterfly stamp. However, I managed! Today's card is made with SU inks and a waterbrush to give the watercolour effect as background. I added some glimmer mist and heat embossed the PTI sentiment with white embossing powder and the butterflies with gold embossing powder. I adhered it on pink cardstock. The base of the card is neutral cardstock, which gives the card a bit more warmth than white cardstock would do.

When I look at the card I won't say it is a 'Gerdine' card, but I am definitely happy with this result.
Are you going to join us at the CFC blog? You can link your card until Friday, 18 July, 18.00 pm. Looking forward to seeing your creations.

Banners

A few weeks ago I won a give- away at Marit's blog. I received  the prize, a Stampin Up Banner Punch and Banner Blast stamp set last Saturday. Thank you, Marit!

I immediately made a card with the set and came up with this idea:

Can you believe that these banners are stamped? It looks like patterned papers! I used Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo inks from SU. The love-banners are embossed with gold powder. The strips of paper at the top and bottom of the cars are from Stampin Up as well. I link this card to the SU-per challenge blog where they ask to use red, dark pink and yellow. Well, I don't have the same colours as they have used, but hopefully this card fits in the their theme.

Today starts the new Stampin Up catalogue. If you would like to have some information, hop over quickly to Marit's blog.

Thanks for coming by!
