Eline's paper

I told you before but the new paperline Pale Patels designed by Eline Pellinkhof is beautiful!  It gives a real vintage feeling to cards without difficult techniques. In special if you use some ribbon and lace. Easy peasy to make a sophisticated card. So, let's start the weekend with two cards with this paperline!

vintage birthday

I made this card for my sister who celebrated her birthday last Saturday. She lives in Brazil, so we couldn't join her on this day. But she had friends visiting her and they brought a lot of post from Holland.
I made this card with the new line of Eline Pellinkhof 'Pale pastels' in combination with her 'music paperbloc' and an old photo. I'm satisfied with the result!

Have a nice evening!

stamps: WMS Rescue Remedies, artemio (sentiment), Eline Pellinkhof (post stamp)

Saturday!!

Finally... Saturday! I survived this week! And the reward is awesome as we have such a beautiful weather. I really enjoy it!
Tonight we have a party of friends who celebrate their 12,5 years wedding anniversary! I made them this card!

I had been thinking for a long time about a present. As they like to cook, love a cosy atmosphere in their house and have a heart for Eastern Europa, I decided to buy a lasagna dish from the collection of Bunzlau Pottery. I love this kind of pottery so much!! Hope they like it as well!

Do you remember the baby card with the giraffe?  Yesterday I made another one for our youngest family member. He was born yesterday and I hurried up to have the card in the post box on time. Maybe it is the first card they have! I stamped his name in stead of 'it's a boy' or something like that. And I embossed the giraffe with clear embossing powder. It gives a very nice effect!

Have a very nice weekend!

Busy week...

It is a very busy week, but still alive! Last Monday I started in a new job at a school. It is temporary job as I replace a teacher who have had an accident. So a lot of preparations for the lessons, giving lessons and to find out how this school works. And many names to remember... Fortunately it's only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  I'm afraid the other days will be busy as well with my studies, chores in house and other activities. But no problem, I will handle. Only card making... that's another story.
I made these cards last week, so I can share something!

Thanks for combing by!

Hip hip hooray on the bike

Design papers with an objective on it, can be hard to use on a card. That is what I experienced with the bikes in the blossom soup paperline by Jillibean. But with this use it became a very nice birthday card. It looks the card is a bit crooked, but I didn't make the best picture ever...

And here again an anniversarycard. I don't have a couple in mind, but it is convenient to have one in stock. It was made with the BG Olivia line and the sentiment stamp is by Paula Pascual. She makes beautiful sentiment stamps for a very reasonable price.  I'd like to have more of her sets (e.g. the tags, but I can't find them in the webshops in the Netherlands.

Have a lovely weekend!

stamps: PTI

others: ribbon, sewingmachine, Martha Stewart border punch, nestabilities circle and scalloped circle

Birthday wishes

Wow, two times on row one of my cards had been picked up by Waltzingmouse, not for the big cheese, but as a honorable mention! I'm thrilled to see my cards overthere on the WMS blog!!

For today I've got two cards with birthday wishes for you.
First one is with a journaling card of Emma's shoppe in combination with the papers of that line and some ribbon and twine. I'm very happy with the result.

Second card is with patchwork, made with October Afternoon papers, some stitching and a sentiment. As I don't have a frame for the label nr 4 I made one myself. I stamped with a stamp from PTI vintage labels on each side of the label and so I got a frame!

By the way, thank you so much for your lovely comments on previous post!
Have a happy day!

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI borders and corners (cirle), Paula Pascual (sentiment).

WMS Sketch Challenge #64 and an anniversary card

Hi there!

Today I've got two cards to show! The first one is for the WMS challenge of this week. The background of the sketch was plain, so that gave me a bit of freedom to make my own. But of course I placed the sentiment were it belongs!

(click on the photo's to enlarge it and make it a bit sharper)

I just have a new distress ink, Victorian Velvet (and I guess more colors will be followed after the three I have now). It's a nice color to add some romantic touch to a card. And the combination with Basic Grey's Olivia it's just perfect. I didn't know exactly what to do with the circle as embellishment. Until my eye saw the 'wheel' of the Rescue Remedie set and the 50p stamp et voila! The tag is original larger, but I trimmed of some paper of both sides.

add: Stupid me... I now see the sketch again and see on the background of the sketch: STAMP... And I used paper as well... So I don't think this is a good card for the challenge

The second cards in an anniversarycard. I made it for a couple who got married a year ago. We were guests on their wedding day and we are looking back on a great day. I thought it would be nice to send a card to them. So I stamped the background with PTI 'a little argyle'. It was a long t ime ago I used that stampset, but it works perfectly if you combine it with other papers like this one of Eline Pellinkhof. Some ribbon and twine and a sentiment gives the finishing touch.

Hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for coming by and have a nice day!

Birthday wishes
stamps: WMS Text it, Rescue Remedies, Teeny trees

WMS Sketch Challenge #63 and some other cards

Today I share some cards with you as the coming days will be too busy to post anyway.
The first one is my take of the WMS Sketch Challenge for this week.

(please, click on the photos to enlarge it and make it sharper)

By the way, this is the sketch:

I turned the sketch and made it my own. The background is first distressed with Antique Linen and stamped with Text-it in brown. I love the color combination pink/brown and the papers of Basic Grey match perfect with it. It was fun playing with this sketch! Thank you, Anya!

The second card is for a baby boy. I've got the giraffe stamp for a  long time, but didn't know exactly what to do with. Till I saw the light yesterday. The papers and post stamp of Eline Pellinkhof and some ribbon made a perfect combination in my opinion.

Last but not least a card with a WMS Rescue Remedie stamps and some paper of Emma's shoppe. Hopefully this card gives a good feeling to a sick person.

Scrapdelight inspiratie challenge

Second post for today, but coming weekend I don't have much time to post, so I'll do it now! Searching with google brought me to the blog of Scrapdelight, a shop in Nieuwegein. I'm sorry that this shop is not really near to my place. The photos show a very nice assortment and a beautiful shop. But lucky me: a webshop is available :)

On their blog they offer a challenge:

And this is the result:

I distressed white cardstock with Distress Ink antique linen and stamped polka dots on it. The papers of October Afternoon made a perfect match with the aqua colors of the challenge!

Thanks for your visit!

Supplies:
Paper: october afternoon. Kraft and white cardstock.
Stamps: PTI
Ink: memento Tuxedo Black, PTI aqua mist
Others: flower, brad, ribbon, sewingmachine, martha stewart border punch

Happy weekend!

Sun is shining here! A very good start of the weekend! Last week I didn't have a heavy and dutiful schedule, so I could do a lot in my 'atelier'. So coming week I can show a lot of work. And I start today!

When I discovered Emma's shoppe by Crate Paper I ordered some chipboard embellishments and journals as well. I love the result of others shown on the internet. But to work with it it is a bit hard. I really don't know where to put the embellishments and how to use the journal cards. Strange, isn't it? But I've just given it a try and well, here it is!

I'm still not satisfied with the quality of my pictures. How do you make your photo's? Just with daylight of with a (special) lamp?

Thanks for your visit and enjoy your weekend!
