rescue remedies

Saturday I made these two cards with Rescue Remedies and Off beat backgrounds from Waltzingmouse stamps. I'm always struggling with making a nice ribbon bow, but fortunately this time it worked out very well!

The red one gives me a feeling of being in an old kitchen with redblocked towels and the smell of a fresh baked cake! It smells good!

Birthday in the air

So, stress is over! Yesterday I finished my tests for this term. Last september I started with an part-time education to get a degree in English. It's really fun to do, but this week was a little bit stressfull. Actually, it is not really finished, because next Thursday I will have an oral test and a listening test. But for these tests I can't learn, it's just about acquired skills so there will be time for other activities!!
In a week full of learning you need some relaxation and of course I made some cards. Today I like to show this one.

I used the Teeny trees from Waltzingmouse stamps and Up, Up & Away from Papertrey Ink.
Paper is from Jillibean and Sassafras Lass.

Cards without a sentiment

Sometimes people ask me to make a card without a sentiment, so you can use it for any occasion. Yesterday evening I made these two cards with butterflies. Same idea for both, but with different papers and background stamps. It gives me a feeling of spring! But unfortunately, it is still very dark and rainy outside...

My first challenge - WMS #31

I tried to make the sketch from Waltzingmouse Challenge # 31. This is the sketch:
And this is my card. I used the Off Beat background stamp. I distressed the background paper with antique linen and stamped it with Memento ink - ruburb stalk. The paper is from October afternoon. I think I like it!

New stamps from Waltzingmouse

Last friday I received my order from Waltzingmouse stamps. I ordered 4 sets and I like them all! You can imagine what I did this weekend! This card is made with Teeny Trees and Text it. Last week I learnt via youtube how to work with distress ink. On this card I used antique linen from Ranger in combination with Drew Drops purple and petal pink. Love the effect!

A start!

In February 2010 I started with making cards with scrap paper and stamps. Without any knowledge I have found my way through cardmaking-land. On the WWW I found the most beautiful and inspiring cards. I try to develop myself with the help of many bloggers who show their work and technics, You Tube and many brands of papers and stamps! So maybe, now it is the time to show something of my own work! But to be honest it feels scary...
My first card to show is made with Indie Girl from Sassafras Lass. It is very simple, but I think my style is: less is more!
