fairy children

As I promised two other cards with vintage pictures which I have bought in the Etsy shop of 'Mady by Janet'. I love the atmosphere of her art! The first cards has been made with papers of Eline's huis. The second one with the paperbloc from the Hema.

Thanks for coming by and have a lovely weekend!

vintage digital art

For a long time I'm in love with the nice digital art which is used on cards. One of my favorite crafters, Melissa (Lilybean's paperie )  is using it a lot. But also Dutch crafters. After thinking over it for a long time I just try to make a cart with it by using a freebie. And the result is great.

So, I ordered some more pictures on Etsy and I will come back soon with these on cards!! LOL

Have a nice day!

Inspired by...

Most of my cards are inspired by an idea I saw somewhere on a blog or in a magazine. But as I don't use the same papers, stamps and ribbon the look of the card is so different from the original. And that's what I like from sharing the ideas on the internet. It gives so much inspiration.
This card of Mona Pendleton inspired me yesterday. She used a beautiful sketch with a very favorite stamp set I own as well. But the result is sooooo different!

The next card isn't inspired by an idea I saw, but just the papers, stamps and dies. I made a combination and this is the result!

Thanks for stopping by and have nice and creative weekend!

autumn holidays!!

Dear all,

I'm so happy! I'm off for the autumn holidays!! Looking forward to a lot of free time. Well, actually I have to learn for my tests in November, but no stress at school and no planning. So, hopefully time to work a lot in my craft room as well. This afternoon I will clean a lot in our house, but tonight it will be craft time!
This card I made last weekend. It was an idea which I say in a 'Cards', a book sold in Doorn. Well, I didn't buy the book, but this idea wasn't that difficult.  The colors are warm and fit perfectly in this time of year.

Supplies:
stamps: PTI a little argyle, Maya Road 'cute as a button'
Ink: memento tuxedo black; distress victorian velvet, old paper.
Paper: Hema
others: ribbon, sewing machine, paper distresser, Joy button die.

And a little addition to this post. I told you about the renovation of our living room. One of the changes was our fire place. It is replaced by a wood stove and with the temperatures dropping, it is lovely to have one! It gives a cosy feeling in your house. And as you can see on the pictures more (optical) space in our living. The first picture is the old situation, the others new. I'm so glad with the result!

 Thanks for hopping by!

Weekly blog?

This blog looks like a weekly blog... Hopefully I can blog a bit more frequent than I do now. Well, for today I've got two cards to show. Last Saturday we had a birthday party near Ede. And when you come from the south, you cross Doorn. So, I could convince my DH to go off the highway to visit Paper and Pictures. I bought the Sidewalks paper pad from October Afternoon and the stamp set 'Cute as a button' by Maya road. And of course some other stuff (that shop is a real danger for your wallet). These cards are the first results:

Hope seeing you soon again!

Airplane card

Still busy over here. I must say that live becomes a bit more relaxed in the third week of working in school, but with all the other activities which were planned for weeks ago I don't have much card making time. Unfortunately! But I'm convinced that better times will come.

For my brother in law who celebrated his birthday last week I made this card. Last year I bought some Derwent pencils, but I don't often use them and that is a pity, isn't it? So with this PTI stamp I had a very good reason to take my pencils and work with it!

It's a fun card as I used stamps set from the USA, UK and the Netherlands. Really international!
By the way, I'd like to order on a short term some stamps from Papertrey Ink. This is a question in special for the Dutch readers. Do you have experiences with sending and the customs? Do you have to pay extra taxes for example?
And if I order for myself, I can order for you as well. So if you like to share the shipping costs and so on, please send a message and let's have a look for the possibilities.

Okay, that's for now! Nice seeing you here!
