PTI's mini blooms

Today I've got a card for you made with PTI's Mini Blooms set. Ik was inspired by this card, but the outcome differs a lot. Again I did some watercolouring for the background and stamped the flowers and leaves randomly. To finish it I added a strip of yellow paper and stitched it with a zigzag (yep, using my sewing machine for cardmaking had been a long time ago).

I've got my weekly studyday today, so for now back to my books and later on a couple of lectures!
Enjoy your day!

Smooshing with watercolours MiM #204

Sometimes I can't show you anything, because there is no production in studio Saar & Pien. Now, two posts in two days! I'm definitely in a cardmaking flow. Yesterday I showed you a card with a technique Betsy Veldman demonstrated in the Make-it-Monday video at the PTI blog. I wasn't quite satisfied about that one and wanted to give it a second try. Now I used some grey inks and I added some Perfect Pearls to the water which gives a shine to the card. I wanted to create a shakercard with a heart and some glimmer. I used a sentiment from the PTI's Mini Blooms set. I love the CAS-effect!

Hopefully see you soon!

Mishmash

Today I've got a bunch of cards for you which seems at first a mishmash of ingredients. However, they do have certain things in common: kraft for the card base and a square shape.

I couldn't resist the new Lawn Fawn set, gleeful gardens. I received the set last Tuesday. I just played with it this afternoon and hopefully I will have some time to create a bit more with it this weekend.

For the second card I used again some Lawn Fawn materials.

I've got a bit of mixed feelings with the next card. I tried the technique Betsy Veldman showed on the PTI blog, but I'm not quite satisfied with the effect. I think I used some blue colours which were too dark. The flowers are from Avery Elle, the sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

The last card for today was made just before bedtime. I pulled out a stamp set from PTI which I have possessed for long time and it is still such an elegant set.

Enjoy your weekend!

Masking

Last week I did some masking with post-its! Very easy to do and with a great effect. I used some Papertrey Ink stamps. The card was a bit boring, so I added a kraft border and a strip of gingham paper to it.

For a newborn boy I made this square card. The background is made with a aquamarker, an acrylic block which I uses as a kind of ruler and distress ink mixed with perfect pearls. Still in love with this deer :)

Thanks for coming by!
