Washi tape

I needed a babycard, I bought some washi tape last week and I saw the challenge on the 'Crazy for CAS' blog: use washi tape. And an idea was born. So I grabbed the tape, twine, ink, ribbon and papertrey's baby stamp + die and this is the results. I'm really happy with it.

The washi tape with hearts was a gift from Stella. The others are 'Echt Hema'. With the same tapes I made a photo or card hanger with clothespins. Very easy and quickly done!

Tests are over and I'm waiting for the results. At school we have the last weeks and they are rather busy than relaxed. Longing for the summer break!

Thanks for your visit!

Patchwork

On the Dutch Card Lovers blog is the challenge to make a card with 'patchwork'. Well, I used to patch and quilt, but nowadays I'm not really busy with fabrics and that's a pity as I still have a few 'UFOs'  (Unfinished Objects). One of the advantages of making cards is that you don't have often an unfinished card! So, let's make a combination of patchwork and paper. Perfect in my opinion!

Patchwork is not only about squares, triangles and hexagons. My inspiration came from the 'Grandmother's Fan' quilt and the Hello Sunshine Die from PTI. Basic Grey's  'Picadilly' offers a nice collection of flowers, stripes and little squares. Perfect for patching. I added Glossy Accents to the star to lift it up a little. And patchwork asks for stitching.

Oops, I now see that I didn't stamp in the centre of the circle. Have to change that...

Father's Day

How is it possible to forget Father's Day? Well, I did. We are not really a family which is paying a lot of attention to these days and I was a bit too busy preparing for tests. But as our mothers got something for mother's day, the fathers would have a present as well. So, in the afternoon I hurried to my craft room and designed two cards for our fathers. Luckily, I got a paper pad from Simple Stories - Urban Traveller which is perfect for masculine cards. I wrote them a message with an invitation for a barbecue somewhere in the summer. They loved it.

Some oldies

Since I don't make any card at the moment due to tests and exams, I will show a few cards I made a couple of weeks ago. Created with some PTI goodies. Quick cards, some lifted from cards made earlier. Looking forward to having more time for crafting!

Enjoy your evening!

Happy Birthday, Marit!

Today is Marit's birthday and I made her this card with MME Nostalgia and Paired Up from Clearly Besotted Stamps. The sentiment is from PTI's Mini Blooms.

Happy Birthday, Marit! I wish you lots of creativity in the year to come.
The card is on its way.

I link this card to the blog of Clearly Besotted Stamps where the very first challenge is 'Anything goes'. I possess two sets of CBS so far, but there are more on my wishlist. For this card I used the branch with leaves and blossoms from Paired Up, but lucky me, that's enough for the challenge.

Back to work now. This week and next week will be busy with tests and exams.
I won't be able to comment on all your blogs, but I try to read them in my feed reader as much as possible.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lifting

If you are in a hurry and in need of cards, why not lifting your own cards? That's what I did with the cards I show you today.

This first one is lifted from the card I made last Saturday. I still like that one very much. Judith called it a port hole and indeed it looks like that.
This one is made with the Paired Up set from Clearly Besotted Stamps.

The next two cards are lifts from this one.Now made with PTI's Mini Blooms. For these cards I added a piece of paper from MME's Nostalgia.

Enjoy today and thanks for coming by!

Congrats! CFC #103

When I saw the challenge on the CAS-ual Friday blog I knew that I had to make a card for this week's challenge 'Congratulations'. So I tried to make one yesterday evening. After finishing the card I wasn't really happy with the result. It was a bit too simple. But lying in bed a new idea came up in my mind and before having breakfast this morning I made another card and I'm really satisfied with that one! By the way, is this what they call addiction?

I will show you both cards and you can decide which one you like better. For both cards I used papers from Simple Stories Summer Fresh. For the first card I die-cut some hexagons and put them in two rows on the card. I stamped a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps and finished the card by splattering some glimmer mist. First time I show a card with splatters on my blog. I love the effect of splatters and admire cards on the internet, but I didn't dare using it myself. Hard job to do and it left me with splatters all over my desk... Okay, here is card #1

For the second card (which I have linked up to the CFC blog) I die cut a frame in the upper layer with paper from Summer Fresh. I punched two holes and added eyelets. On the card base I stamped 'congrats' from the PTI 'On the Farm' set in different colours. Last but not least I added twine.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for coming by!

p.s. With this card I won challenge #18 on the Crazy for CAS blog. Thanks, Crazy for CAS team!
