Queen's Day Badge

I am ready for Queen's Day! This badge is really quick and easy to make. Just cut a few circles roughly in different sizes with your pinking shears. Stitch them together. Take a few ribbons and sew them on the circles. Die cut a flower of felt, add a button and glue it onto the circles and ribbons. At the back a safety pin and that's it!

Enjoy your day!

Garden Variety

Only a very quick post with a birthday card today For this card I used PTI's Garden Variety and papers from MME Nostalgia. I love the set! And by using other papers you can make a totally different card each time you use this set, even when it is the same sketch. The border with hearts is from MFT Homespun Hearts.

Be warned, the family is still growing!
By the way, this is not the project I was talking about in a previous post!

DCL #180 Backgrounds

This week's challenge at the DCL blog wasn't that difficult: create your own background.
And so I did. The text was first stamped on a scrap of paper before stamping on the card which gives a softer printing. I did the same with the roses. By accident I got structure in the roses. I stamped on a scrap with linen structure and this also appeared onto the stamped images. I added some leaves to give it a fresher look. The birthday tags are pierced with a eyelets and hold in place with twine.

Have a nice day!

Lack of inspiration...

I struggle with lack of inspiration. Can you imagine? I've got loads of papers, stamps, inks, dies and so on and still no inspiration. Yesterday I cleaned my craft room and brought order into the mess and hopefully it will help me to do more in that little craft room...
I had to make a card for a little newborn girl. It took me much longer than usually, but at a certain point I got an idea. I hang out the name of the girl with the stampset from PTI. The alphabet I used is  from cuttlekids. Papers from Summer Fresh by Simple Stories. I stitched the strips of design paper on vellum which I laid over the stamped image. On the picture it looks like it is unclear, but it actually turned out really nice (okay, that's my opinion). The owl I showed you in the previous post was for this little girl as well. I saw this polka dot background and I had to make a new photo ;)

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for hopping over to my blog!

Hoot!

Today a little owl for you! I saw a lovely 'hairclip-owl' somewhere on Pinterest and gave it a try with the collectable from Marianne Design. Cute, isn't it? You can't see it but the ribbon is much longer so many hairclips can be clipped onto the ribbon.

Maybe this little owl is the start of a bigger project...
