Twig wreath

My father has visited friends in the USA recently. I asked him to spare some space in his suitcases, which he was willing to do! So, I ordered some stuff at Papertrey Ink. One of the stampsets I ordered was Twig Wreath. This morning I inked this set for the very first time. I kept it quite simpel by stamping the wreath twice and then added flowers and leaves. I added a strip of the autumn line of Simple stories to the bottom and so I had two cards very quickly finished. Of course some twine to finish it off.

Hope to share some cards made with my new sets very soon!
Thanks for coming by.

A challenge and a few other cards

I've got a few cards to share with you today!

The first card is created for the Cas-ology challenge, theme: letter. Well, you can think of a 'letter' send to someone, but I thought of a letter of the Alphabet. I needed a baby card as well, so why not combining these two things? I like a personal baby card with the name of the newborn on it. At the moment Avery Elle's Storybook is my favourite stampset for babycards (yep, I know, in my previous post I used the same stamp set... sorry!). So I coloured the deer and used the balloons for creating the name of the boy (which is a typically Dutch one!). The Alphabet stamp is Lawn Fawn's Claire.
For the background I used a subtile stripe instead of neutral cardstock. In my opinion it is still CAS, isn't it?

Next card is made with an older stampset, Off Beat Background from WMS. I hadn't used it for ages, before thinking of stamping a background in combination with masking. The outcome was a congrats card for a newly wed couple.

Last but not least a card I made a couple of weeks ago. I used papers from Crate Paper's Close Knit. Sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and flower+leave from Marianne Design.

Wow, three absolutely different cards!

Thank you so much #CFC 125

The new challenge at the CAS-ual Friday Challenge blog is described as below:

Instead of a resolution, choose a word that describes what you hope for the new year. Maybe it's LOVE if you want to work on your relationships, or DO if you want to challenge yourself to something, or LAUGH if you want to lighten up, etc. Use that word as the inspiration for your card, and keep it Clean And Simple

A good word would be 'Thanks'. I think we don't often tell each other 'thank you' and maybe it is good to say this more frequently. So, for this challenge I made a 'Thank you' card for someone who took beautiful pictures of our family. That is why I used the paper from Crate Paper with the cameras. The sentiment is from a small set by Jillibean. Some staples, washi tape, stitches and polkadots to finish it off.

Thank you for dropping by and enjoy your day!

Crazy for Cas #32 - Recycling

Today a new challenge starts on the Crazy for Cas blog. The theme for the next two weeks is: recycling. You can use so many things for this challenge, just use your fantasy. Have a look on the blog and get some inspiration from the DT members.

I am addicted to newspapers, so I have got many old issues which I could use for this challenge. I die cut flowers from the newspaper and put a button into the middle as a centre. I coloured the petals a little with some blue ink in order to have more cohesion between the small strip of gingham patterned paper and the flower. The kraft part of the background is embossed with a woodgrain embossingfolder from Papertrey Ink.

Looking forward to seeing your creations!
Thanks for coming by and enjoy the weekend!
