CFC #61 Splashes

A new challenge has been launched at Crazy for CAS: splashes. As I don't own a stamp with splashes or something similar I messed around with glimmer mist. I used some papers from Crate Paper, a die from Clearly Besotted Stamps, a star punch and some thread.

I should be honest, it wasn't my first card for this challenge. I doubted a little bit if I would show the first card to you, but well, here it is. For this one I used water colour paper, a dauber and ink from SU and for the splashes I mixed some drops of the same ink with perfect pearls for a bit of glimmer. The die is from Lawn Fawn and I stitched it on the card. However, in my opinion this one is a bit boring...

CFC #60 - Anything goes

Today the CFC blog launches the last challenge of 2014! 'Anything Goes' it the theme. So, use your fantasy, leftovers of Christmas cards or whatever project you did previously and design a nice CAS-card. In these days of Christmas cards I fancied something different and that's why I made a card with some stuff by Dear Lizzy. It has got a bit of summer in it. I really like the text.

CFC #58 Presents

We've got a new challenge for you over at the Crazy for Cas blog! This week's theme is all about presents. Use one or many presents in whatever way you like, just keep it clean and simple. Hop over to the CFC blog for all the details. I have chosen for a small stamp from a Heidi Swapp which I have stamped in several SU inks around the circle frame. Really easy to do, just draw a circle with your pencil and stamp on the line. Remove the line with your rubber and that's it! The sentiment is heat embossed.

CFC Sketch

It has been a long time ago! Today I'm back with a card for Crazy for CAS. We've got a sketch for you. Very versatile and at the CFC blog are nice examples of my fellow team members.

I made a card using some vellum circles. At the back I hand drew some spirals with a marker. It gives a modern feeling and it is really easy to do. I added some spatters, thread, scored lines, sequins and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

Crazy for Cas #54 - wobble card

I admit I wasn't very happy with the new challenge at Crazy for Cas - make a wobble card. I'm not really fond of it because I don't have big circle dies or a circle cutter and I find it hard to make it CAS. However, it is a challenge, so I took it and I came up with a mini version! I used my biggest nestability-circles and made the 'wobble' by folding it. In the middle of the white circle I stamped 'love' with Lawn Fawn's Milo - ABC. From there I stamped with a very little heart stamp (also Lawn Fawn) in red and pinks.
In my opinion quite a CAS wobble card!

CFC #48 Butterflies

I didn't have much choice for the new challenge at the CFC blog. This week's theme is all about butterflies. It really is a theme which will give us summer feelings. The problem is that I own only one very small butterfly stamp. However, I managed! Today's card is made with SU inks and a waterbrush to give the watercolour effect as background. I added some glimmer mist and heat embossed the PTI sentiment with white embossing powder and the butterflies with gold embossing powder. I adhered it on pink cardstock. The base of the card is neutral cardstock, which gives the card a bit more warmth than white cardstock would do.

When I look at the card I won't say it is a 'Gerdine' card, but I am definitely happy with this result.

CFC #40 Spring has sprung

The new challenge at the Crazy for Cas blog has got a beautiful picture as source of inspiration for you! Great colours, flowers and lovely animals, enough ideas to work with. It inspired me to create two squared cards. One inspired by the flowers, the other inspired by the animals.

As you probably have mentioned I haven't post any card since the previous CFC-challenge and I'm not a regular visitor of your blogs as well. It has all to do with the final stage of my studies. I'm busy with my thesis and I'd like to focus on this job instead of other things. So, it is not because of desinterest of lack of inspiration, but I really like to finish my studies as soon as possible. It means a short blog break (so when I leave you a comment or post a card on my blog it is clear that I'm fed up with writing and reading ;) )

Today a new challenge at the Crazy for Cas blog. This time a sketch for you. It could be a Valentine's card, but the sketch is absolutely versatile. I made a card using Crate Paper's Bundled Up and some wooden embellishments from Studio Calico.

Crazy for CAS #35 Anything goes

In my previous post I told you I haven't made any christmas card. Well, that is not really true as I made you one! With this card I'd like to wish you all a very blessed and happy Christmas time.
