When I saw the challenge at 'Bij oma Dee': create a holiday card, I thought: what to do with a holiday card? But indeed, it is nice to wish people a very pleasant holiday with a card.
It didn't take long to decide which stamp set I would use: Lawn Fawn's 'Happy Trails'. All other aspects were a bit harder. After all, I gave vellum a try. I found out that you can colour vellum with distress ink (yep, it isn't the discovery of the year, but still, a world has been opened to me! It gives such a wonderful effect!) The vellum background is a bit bumpy, which gives some extra dimension to the card. I embossed some clouds from the LF's 'into the woods'-set. I coloured the images with spectrum noirs and added a banner from the LF's 'home sweet home'-set. I created the 'holiday' sentiment with LF's Claire's ABC. Here is my card for the challenge:
With the same set I made a 'congrats' card. And I have still the sentiment (made with LF's Milo's ABC) on my acrylic block, so it appeared also on this card.
Enjoy today and thanks for coming by!
