Get well soon!

For everyone who's suffering  a cold or a flu or whatever:

Hopefully you feel much better soon! And for those who are as healthy as possible: keep it this way in the cold days waiting for us ( in the Netherlands) :)

Made with papers from '4 heures 37', stampsset Teeny Trees and Off Beat (WMS) , buttons, sewing machine, ribbon.

Nice having you here!

I'm back...

Finally, I finished my tests yesterday!! It were hard weeks and feel a bit tired. Now I have to wait for the results, but I am quit satisfied with the tests and my answers, so I hope to get a good message! Between the hours of learning I needed some time to relax of course. And so I made a couple of cards. Two of them I'll show today! And as you probably will see: I discovered the seam binding. Good stuff! I always fight with satin ribbon to make a nice bow or knot. Whit this ribbon it doesn't matter. It a bit of  'chaotic' use and the results are great! Ordered a couple of colors and I think you will see more of it the coming weeks!

Both cards are made with materials of Crate Paper, PTI, buttons, sewing machine, seam binding and ribbon!

Thanks for coming by and I wish you a very nice weekend!!

No pictures...

No pictures of cards today. I've got problems with my laptop. Fortunately, all documents and pictures were saved. But for the coming days I have to work on another computer without my pictures. The coming days will be silent here.
But I want to share this:

For sure, I'm happy!

Happy Birthday, owl!!

Dear all,

During the christmas holiday I made several cards and I got them in stock for this blog, so I can post something although I don't make any card at this moment! This cards has been made with the 'Eline's huis - Happy and Bright' paperline. To be honest it took me a hard time before producing something with these papers. I love the designs, but making combinations is though for me. For this card I used the paper with owls, I stamped with WMS Off Beat the bottom and made a border with the polka dot paper. Some ribbon, buttons, a roset, a sentiment and.... finished!! Don't these colorful owls look cute?

Again lift challenge #7

As I added in the previous post, I didn't use all elements of the original cards in my lift for lift challenge #7. So, I was challenged to make another one. I used the same sizes and again a ribbon bow. I still have many chipboard elements of Emma's shoppe (Crate paper), so why not using those for the challenge. I decided again to use three different patterns on the left side of the card instead of one, it is more my style, I think.

I withdraw the previous card from the contest and like to link this one for the challenge!

Thanks for coming by!

Lift Challenge #7

For the Lift Challenge #7 I made this card and it was really funny to do! It is a three fold card and I like this idea. I'm sure more cards with this sketch will follow!
I used papers of '4 heures 37', the sentiment stamp is from Paula Pascual and I'm very proud of my ribbon bow. Usually I have a big struggle with bows and knots, but this one looks almost perfect (in my case...)

Thank you, Lift Challenge team, for this challenge! It was a pleasure to do!

Have a very nice weekend and thanks for visiting my blog!

Add: José and Cornelie gave both a very good comment about this lift. I didn't use the three element (stars) on the original card. If I have some time left I will make another one! But after all I'm still very happy with this one :)
Add 2: I've made another card. Please, have a look here!

WMS Sketch Challenge #78

I really can't remember when I joined the WMS Sketch Challenge! But I've got a card for the current challenge! Yeah! Made with papers from 'Eline's winterhuis', a MFT die (notebook spiral) and stamps from WMS (Off Beat and Teeny Trees). Of course some ribbon and twine! I'm sorry for the photo, but the weather is so gloomy.

The next card has been made with 'Eline's winterhuis' as well, but hasn't anything to do with the WMS challenge. I stamped a background with WMS text it and distressed the edges with victorian velvet ink. The bird is from a previous stamp set from 'Eline's huis'. Don't you love the flowers on this paper?

I'll go back to my studybooks swiftly. The tests starts in two weeks time... And a lot of work to do before!
Thanks for hopping by!

Christmas greetings

These two adorable, little friends like wishing you a very nice Christmastime and many blessings in 2012!

I didn't make christmas cards this year, but two, using WMS Tiny Trees.

For the sewing group I belong to I made a small box with some Merci chocolates in it. Last week I ordered a scor-pal at the shop 'knutsel en zo' (together with a paper pad from 4 heures 37, you will see work with it soon!). The scor-pal is a great help and I like making these boxes. And my sewing friends really appreciate this christmas greeting.

I don't have many Christmas decorations at home. But last Wednesday I saw this frame at the 'Blokker' and I had to buy it. The candle light holders were bought last year and it's a perfect match with the silver birds and red stars!

Christmas will be a bit strange for us this year. My husband has to work in the hospital in a dayshift. But on Christmas Eve we will have the 'family-christmas-service' in our church. And I'm looking forward to the services in our church on Sunday. To me it is important to celebrate Jesus' birth and praise God for His gift to us. On Monday we will join a choir and sing in a prison in Belgium and celebrate Christmas with prisoners. We join the services many times a year and I love doing it. It makes me silent because of my happy life and the contrast with these men. Many of them have had a miserable life till now. I hope they will feel some peace this Christmas.

Maybe I pop in coming week with a card I made today, but I still have to make some pictures. Next week we will have a short holiday in Budapest, Hungary! Looking forward to it!

On behalf of Saartje and Pien I wish you many happy hours in the coming week!

Thank you for your visit!

Gefeliciteerd!

Again a card made with a picture designed by Janet and papers from October Afternoon. I love the combination!

I am counting down to the Christmas holidays! I only have one day left for working at school, so tomorrow afternoon I'm finished with my classes. Just studies and some preparations for the week after the holidays. And of course some household chorus (don't like) and craft time (like it!!)

Enjoy your evening!
